Asiima LLC ("Asiima," "we," or "us") makes a small family of apps for your devices. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use them. It applies to all of our apps; each app's page adds any specifics for that app.
The short version
- Your content and settings live on your device and in your own cloud account — not on our servers. We can't see them.
- We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
- We use no analytics, ads, or tracking. The only data we receive is the feedback you choose to send and — if the app crashes and you agree to send it — an anonymous crash report. Nothing else.
- It's your device and your cloud account, so you stay in control of your data.
Each of our applications has its own privacy policy covering product-specific data practices:
No analytics or tracking
Our apps include no analytics, advertising, or tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect your data. We don't profile you or measure how you use the app. We run our own feedback service to receive the reports below, but no analytics or tracking system of our own.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, it keeps a short trail of your recent in-app activity ("breadcrumbs") together with the crash details. The next time you open the app, we'll ask whether to send an anonymous report to our feedback service so we can fix stability problems — nothing is sent unless you choose to. These reports are anonymous — no name, email, or account or device identifier is attached, so a report can't be traced back to you. They contain the crash type and stack trace, the recent-activity trail, and your device model, operating-system version, and app version. Sign-in details, tokens, the URLs you connect to, and the titles or IDs of anything you watch are removed on your device before anything is sent. You can turn the prompt off any time in Settings → Diagnostics — then we won't ask; you can still send a report yourself from the in-app feedback feature.
Separately, your device may also send a crash report through Apple's built-in reporting — only if you've turned on "Share With App Developers" in your device's privacy settings. Apple collects and anonymizes these and shows them to us only in aggregate; you control them through that setting. Apple may likewise share aggregated, anonymized usage statistics with us through the App Store. See Apple's privacy policy.
Feedback you send us
Our apps also include an optional in-app feedback feature. This only ever sends when you deliberately tap send. When you do, we receive your message, your email address (only if you add one, so we can reply), and your app version and platform. To help us reproduce problems, you can include redacted diagnostic logs and a screenshot (diagnostic logs are included by default; you can turn that off before sending). Your credentials are never included.
- Sensitive details such as passwords, tokens, and URLs are removed on your device before logs are sent.
- Feedback is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) and stored encrypted.
- Your message and email are recorded in our private issue tracker so we can follow up and track the fix; email us to have them deleted. Any attached logs or screenshots are stored separately — download links expire after 12 hours, and the attachments themselves are permanently deleted within 30 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We don't use your data to build advertising or marketing profiles.
- We don't keep a central copy of your content on our servers.
Who else is involved
We keep outside parties to a minimum. The ones that may handle your data are:
- Your platform provider — the app store and cloud service your device uses, for purchases, optional sync, and the Apple crash reporting described above. On Apple devices this is Apple, through the App Store and iCloud. Apple privacy
- GitHub (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft company) — feedback and crash reports are recorded as issues in our private repositories so we can track and fix them. GitHub privacy
- Amazon Web Services — any attachments you send with feedback (logs, screenshots) are stored encrypted in AWS S3, with public access blocked, and auto-deleted within 30 days. AWS privacy
We use no analytics, advertising, or tracking providers. Individual apps may use additional services for specific features; those are listed in the app's own section.
Your choices and rights
Because your data stays on your device and in your own cloud account, you already have direct control:
- See and change it anytime inside the app.
- Delete it by removing items in the app, deleting the app, or clearing the data from your cloud account's settings.
- Turn off the crash-report prompt in Settings → Diagnostics at any time — then we won't ask.
- Control feedback attachments — diagnostic logs are attached by default, and you can turn them off before sending.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — see below. To exercise any of them, email privacy@asiima.com.
Your regional rights
Europe and the UK (GDPR)
Asiima LLC is the data controller for the limited data you send us. The personal data we hold is the feedback you choose to submit, which we process to resolve your issue (with your consent and our legitimate interest in supporting the app). Crash reports are anonymous, don't identify you, and are sent only when you choose to send them; to the extent they contain any personal data, we process them on the basis of your consent (and our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable), and you can decline any report or turn the prompt off in Settings → Diagnostics. You can access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing by emailing us, and we aim to respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. If a representative under Article 27 GDPR is required, we will appoint one and list them here.
California and other U.S. states
You may ask what personal information we hold and request that we delete or correct it, and we won't discriminate against you for asking. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Canada
We handle personal information in line with PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25. Email us to access or correct your information.
Australia
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're unhappy with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
India
We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may access, correct, or delete your data, nominate someone to act on your behalf, and raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below). You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (TLS), data synced to your cloud account is encrypted by your provider (for example, Apple's iCloud), and sensitive items are kept in your device's secure storage. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
Children
Our apps are intended for adults (18 and over). We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email privacy@asiima.com and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
