Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
Asiima ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our applications (collectively, the "Applications").
By using our Applications, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use our Applications.
2. Our Core Privacy Principles
- Local-First Architecture: Your data is stored locally on your devices by default
- iCloud Sync: If you use iCloud sync, your data is stored in YOUR iCloud account, protected by Apple's encryption
- No Central Data Storage: We do not operate servers that store your personal data
- No Data Monetization: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties
- Minimal Data Collection: We collect only what is necessary for the Applications to function
- No Content Hosting: Our IPTV player applications do not host, store, or distribute any media content
Product-Specific Privacy Policies
Each of our applications has its own privacy policy covering product-specific data practices:
6. Analytics and Crash Reporting
6.1 Firebase Crashlytics
Our Applications may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, which may include:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- Application version
- Crash stack traces and error logs
- General usage patterns (not specific content or personal data)
Crashlytics does NOT collect: Personal information, content viewing history, IPTV credentials, or any data you enter into the Applications.
6.2 Local Logging
Our Applications also use platform-native logging (such as Apple's OSLog) for diagnostic purposes:
- Diagnostic logs are stored locally on your device only
- Logs are never automatically sent to the Company or any third party
- You may optionally choose to include logs when submitting feedback through the in-app feature
- Logs may include navigation events, operational data, and error information
- Logs do NOT include personal information, content viewing history, or IPTV credentials
6.3 Purpose of Analytics
We use analytics and crash data solely to:
- Identify and fix bugs and crashes
- Improve Application stability and performance
We do NOT use analytics for advertising, user profiling, or selling data to third parties.
7. Third-Party Service Providers
Our Applications may integrate with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective privacy policies:
Apple Services
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): Used for syncing your data across devices. Data is stored in your own iCloud account. Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple StoreKit: Used for in-app purchases and subscription management. Apple Privacy Policy
Google Services
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used for crash reporting and app stability monitoring. Firebase Privacy Policy
8. Data Retention
Since your data is stored locally on your device and/or in your own cloud storage accounts:
- You control how long your data is retained
- Uninstalling the Application deletes all locally stored data
- Cloud-synced data remains in your cloud storage until you delete it
- We do not retain copies of your personal data on our servers
9. Your Rights and Choices
Because we use a local-first architecture, you maintain full control over your data:
- Access: All your data is stored on your device - you can access it anytime within the Application
- Deletion: Uninstall the Application to delete all local data; delete cloud files from your cloud storage provider
- Export: Use in-app export features where available to export your data
- Portability: Your data is yours - stored on your device and your cloud storage
- Opt-Out of Analytics: You may disable analytics in Application settings where available
10. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
- Apple iCloud encryption for synced data
- Platform-native secure storage for sensitive tokens
- Regular security assessments and updates
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Applications are not intended for children under 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@asiima.com.
12. International Data Transfers
If you use our Applications from outside the United States, please note that any information processed may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our Applications, you consent to such transfers.
13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request information about the categories of personal information we collect
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information, so the right to opt-out of sales does not apply
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@asiima.com.
14. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws.
14.1 Data Controller
Asiima is the data controller for any personal data processed through the Applications. Contact: privacy@asiima.com.
14.2 Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): When you accept the legal disclaimer and terms at first launch, and when you voluntarily submit feedback with diagnostic data or credentials
- Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to provide the Application's functionality, including iCloud sync, subscription management via StoreKit, and playback services
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Local diagnostic logging for app stability and security; processing is minimal and does not override your privacy interests given the local-first architecture
14.3 Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access (Art. 15): Request access to your personal data. Since data is stored locally on your device and in your own iCloud account, you already have direct access.
- Rectification (Art. 16): Request correction of inaccurate data. You can modify your data directly within the Application.
- Erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion of your personal data. Uninstalling the Application deletes all local data. iCloud data can be deleted from your iCloud account settings.
- Restriction of Processing (Art. 18): Request restriction of processing of your data.
- Data Portability (Art. 20): Request transfer of your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Your data is already stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account.
- Object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3)): You may withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the Application. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@asiima.com. We will respond within 30 days.
14.4 International Data Transfers
The Application stores data locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple transfers data in accordance with Apple's own GDPR compliance measures, including Standard Contractual Clauses. When you voluntarily submit feedback, the data is processed through AWS infrastructure in the United States, protected by encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), with automatic deletion after 30 days.
14.5 Supervisory Authority
If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu.
14.6 Data Protection Impact Assessment
Given the Application's local-first architecture — no central data storage, no user profiling, no automated decision-making, no sensitive data processing on company servers — a formal Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) under Art. 35 is not required. This determination is documented and available upon request.
14A. Australian Privacy Rights
If you are located in Australia, your personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- APP 1 — Open and Transparent Management: This Privacy Policy describes how we manage personal information. The Application's local-first architecture means we do not collect, store, or process personal information on our servers.
- APP 5 — Notification of Collection: We do not actively collect personal information. Any data you enter into the Application (connection credentials, preferences) is stored locally on your device and/or in your iCloud account. If you voluntarily submit feedback, you are notified at the time of submission about what data is included.
- APP 6 — Use and Disclosure: We do not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than providing the Application's functionality. We do not sell personal information.
- APP 11 — Security: Data in transit is protected by TLS encryption. Local data is protected by your device's security. Feedback attachments are encrypted (AES-256) and automatically deleted after 30 days.
- APP 12 — Access and Correction: Since your data is stored locally, you have direct access and can modify it within the Application at any time.
- APP 13 — Correction: You can correct any data directly in the Application.
If you have a complaint about our handling of your personal information, contact us at privacy@asiima.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Providing notice within the Applications for material changes
Your continued use of the Applications after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
